We are seeking a sharp, composed, and service-oriented IT Helpdesk Coordinator to support a law firm during an upcoming office build-out. This is a short-term, hands-on role focused on hardware setup, workstation deployment, and end-user support to ensure attorneys and staff are fully operational from day one.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a professional environment, enjoys hands-on technical work, and understands the importance of discretion and white-glove internal support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and peripherals
- Set up desk stations, workstations, and equipment during office build-out
- Configure and deploy new PCs for employees, including software and hardware setup
- Support onboarding by coordinating equipment setup with HR and internal teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware and software issues efficiently
- Escalate complex technical issues while tracking them through resolution
- Support conference room audio/visual equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets
- Utilize the helpdesk ticketing system to manage and document requests
- Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys and staff
- Maintain confidentiality of firm and client information at all times
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on IT helpdesk or desktop support experience
- Strong experience with physical hardware setup (PCs, monitors, printers, phones)
- Comfort working on-site in a professional law firm environment
- Excellent customer service skills — polished, calm, and professional
- Experience supporting end users in high-pressure settings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and reliability (punctual attendance required)
- Discretion and professionalism when supporting attorneys and staff
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Familiarity with:
- Microsoft Office
- Active Directory / Group Policy
- Citrix environments
- iManage DMS
- ShoreTel or IP phone systems
- Experience with workstation imaging and deployment
- Basic networking and telecom knowledge
- MCP or similar certification
