Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Network Administrator to augment our Cloud & Infrastructure team during a period of rapid growth. This role will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise wired and wireless networks across corporate and data center environments.
The ideal candidate is operationally strong, security-minded, and comfortable performing production network changes, firewall updates, and connectivity troubleshooting in a live environment.
This is a 6-month onsite role based in Frisco, TX, with the opportunity to convert to full-time based on performance and business need.
What You'll Do:
- Administer and support enterprise LAN/WAN and data center network infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain Layer 2 environments including VLANs, trunking, STP, and port channels
- Support core, distribution, and access layer network architecture.
- Perform firewall policy updates, NAT changes, VPN configuration, and high-availability support.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues, including VLAN-to-SSID mappings and RF-related performance concerns.
- Execute production changes following change management practices.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Systems, Cloud, and Security teams to maintain secure and scalable infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on enterprise network administration experience.
- Strong Layer 2 networking expertise (VLANs, trunking, STP, port channels).
- Experience supporting data center networking environments (core/distribution/access models).
- Hands-on enterprise firewall administration experience (policy management, NAT, VPNs, HA concepts).
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise wired and wireless networks.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing fundamentals.
- Experience performing production network changes in live environments.
- Ability to work onsite in Frisco, TX.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Juniper switching infrastructure.
- Experience with Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewalls.
- Exposure to routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP.
- Experience with enterprise wireless platforms (Aruba, Cisco, Mist, etc.).
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, JNCIA, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent).
- Experience in secure, compliance-driven, or defense environments.
