Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Systems Administrator for a well-established, multi-location hospitality organization operating across multiple states. This is a direct hire, full time onsite role based in Chicago, IL, with up to 30% multi-state travel annually. The role supports a dynamic, multi-location restaurant environment and requires both on-site and remote support.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Systems Administrator will support and optimize technology infrastructure across corporate offices, restaurant operators, and franchise locations. This individual will play a key role in stabilizing POS environments, strengthening infrastructure reliability, and improving system processes within a fast-paced hospitality setting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on systems administration expertise, strong POS experience (Toast preferred), and a collaborative, service-focused approach to supporting diverse operational teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess, stabilize, and optimize infrastructure, POS systems (Toast preferred), and user access environments across corporate and restaurant locations.
- Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), SQL, networking infrastructure, and Azure/Microsoft Cloud environments.
- Provide responsive on-site and remote support to corporate staff, restaurant operators, and franchise teams.
- Document system processes, enhance monitoring and backup procedures, and implement preventative maintenance best practices.
- Support restaurant technology rollouts including new openings, remodels, upgrades, and multi-state deployments.
- Identify automation opportunities and drive workflow improvements to strengthen infrastructure reliability and security posture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 4+ years of Systems Administration experience (required).
- Strong POS systems experience, with Toast highly preferred (required).
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 (required).
- Experience supporting networking infrastructure and SQL environments; Azure and Meraki experience preferred.
- Restaurant IT experience is a must.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills with a detail-oriented, systems-thinking mindset
