Our client is a privately held manufacturing company headquartered in Chicago with approximately 750 employees across two production facilities and three distribution sites in the Midwest. Generating ~$250M in annual revenue, the organization has built a strong operational reputation and is now entering a significant phase of modernization and growth.
The company is launching a multi-year digital transformation, anchored by a greenfield implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and the migration to a new, modern enterprise data platform.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation & ERP Leadership
- Lead the full lifecycle, greenfield implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Drive process standardization across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure strong adoption and change management.
Data Platform Modernization
- Select and implement a modern, cloud-first data platform.
- Establish data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities to support executive decision-making.
IT Strategy & Operations
- Develop a 3–5 year IT roadmap aligned to business growth objectives.
- Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, shop floor systems, and enterprise applications.
- Manage an IT budget of ~$8–10M during the transformation phase.
Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing IT organization.
- Strengthen cross-functional alignment between IT and operations.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including senior leadership roles (CIO or VP level).
- Proven success leading enterprise ERP implementations, ideally within manufacturing.
- Strong preference for experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Experience modernizing enterprise data platforms.
- Strong business acumen and executive presence.
