Analytical Chemist I, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and excellence of our products. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver trusted, high-quality solutions by performing essential laboratory testing across raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and log samples into the laboratory, coordinating distribution for testing across lab functions.
- Perform routine to moderately complex analyses on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Execute wet bench analyses, titrations, and instrumental methods using established SOPs and validated test methods.
- Identify and flag aberrant or unexpected analytical results.
- Troubleshoot routine laboratory and instrumentation issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Work with qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques under general supervision.
- Uphold laboratory impartiality and confidentiality, proactively identifying and escalating potential risks.
- Support the integrity of the laboratory’s ISO 17025 management system during updates or process improvements.
WHAT YOU NEED
- B.S. degree in chemistry or science-related field with a minimum of 12 hours credit in college chemistry is required.
- Relevant analytical laboratory experience along with demonstrated aptitude for carrying out responsible technical assignments is desirable. Helpful experience includes high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectroscopy, and/or near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy.
- Must be able to safely work with ingredients and products that are derived from possibly allergenic sources including, but not limited to, nuts, soy, dairy, fish, and shellfish.
- This position is periodically exposed to dangerous acids, solvents, fumes, or airborne particles where personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Must be able to work while wearing laboratory PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, and nitrile gloves).
