Job Title: Network Security Analyst I
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite – Local candidates only, within 50 miles)
Role Summary:
Seeking a Network Security Analyst to support ongoing cybersecurity operations, tool administration, risk assessment, and documentation for a state organization. The role focuses on identifying security gaps, implementing risk reduction plans, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate cybersecurity tools and controls; identify gaps and implement mitigation plans
- Install, administer, troubleshoot, and patch security software and hardware
- Monitor network activity, investigate security incidents, and manage vulnerabilities
- Develop and maintain network security documentation, reports, and presentations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and resolve security risks
- Support basic project management and progress reporting activities
Required Experience:
- 3+ years in cybersecurity, network security analysis, or related roles
- Strong experience with security tools, risk assessment, and documentation
- Stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years in similar cybersecurity or security analyst roles
