Key Responsibilities
- Support, manage, and expand FDOT infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
- Architect, design, and lead technology initiatives across infrastructure, application development, cybersecurity, identity and access management, data analytics, and compliance
- Oversee and manage Microsoft 365, Microsoft platforms, identity platforms, and multi-cloud environments
- Administer and support servers, systems, and applications of medium to high complexity
- Coordinate server configuration and administration with FDOT, SDC, and external contractors
- Monitor systems and applications for security, performance, and availability
- Recommend and implement server and software upgrades
- Establish systems by evaluating network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, latency) and implementing firewalls and network policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues; escalate to vendors as needed
- Identify opportunities to refactor solutions for improved performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
- Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, repositories, pipelines, and organizational settings
- Deploy, manage, and support AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud services
- Support other IT staff, including developers
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education
- Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Equivalent professional experience may be substituted
Required Experience
- 5-8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of IT experience in infrastructure/network operations, support, maintenance, and administration
- 2-3 years experience with:
- Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022
- IIS Administration
- Network communications (TCP/IP, DNS, Samba/CIFS, NTFS permissions)
- AWS cloud systems (required)
- Highly Desired:
- Microsoft Azure cloud experience
- Experience with other cloud providers (e.g., GCP)
- Administration of Microsoft software
- Middleware support (API Management, IT Service Automation tools, batch job services)
