Senior System Administrator
We are seeking a highly professional and motivated Senior System Administrator to join our engineering team and help define and drive the future of a market-leading Network Access Control (NAC) product suite. This role supports a diverse portfolio including Network Access Control, Endpoint Compliance, Mobile Control, and Intrusion Prevention. The environment spans client/server applications, web applications, cloud integrations, and third-party devices and software.
What You Will Do
- Design, set up, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
- Perform system setup, integration, and validation of hardware and software network devices.
- Execute ongoing maintenance of servers, workstations, and network elements to support engineering teams.
- Support the design, validation, and configuration management of lab systems.
- Administer user access and protect information in accordance with security requirements.
- Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Manage budgeting needs for the engineering lab environment.
What You Bring
Professional Skills
- 5–7+ years of experience managing engineering datacenter labs supporting software and hardware development.
- Extensive experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, KVM, VMware) and network architectures (Cisco, Juniper, Brocade).
- Strong expertise administering Windows and Linux server operating systems.
- Experience with VMware vRealize/Aria and lab automation tools.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, and scripting for automation (preferred).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Deep understanding of highly available, resilient, and scalable network infrastructures.
- Proficiency with IPv4/IPv6 addressing.
