We’re a growing team of passionate professionals, and we’re looking for a Jr. Systems Administrator who’s eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our mission.
Position Summary
As a Systems Administrator, you'll support our Cuick Trac Managed Enclave and assist clients on their CMMC / NIST 800-171 compliance journey. You’ll work closely with a skilled technical team to manage cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot user issues, and ensure the performance and security of our systems.
This role requires strong technical aptitude, a proactive mindset, and a client-focused attitude. You’ll represent Beryllium in direct client interactions, so clear communication and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure components, including VM SKUs, virtual networks, firewall policies, and virtual disks.
- Manage virtualized environments using Azure Host Pools and other related infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems on Azure VMs to ensure secure and stable environments.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and applying improvements as needed.
- Design, implement, and maintain storage solutions such as SharePoint and Windows File Servers, ensuring efficient file system and data storage management.
Endpoint Management & Intune Administration
- Configure and manage the Microsoft Intune environment for user and device enrollment, and group policies.
- Ensure Intune integrates seamlessly with Azure AD, Defender, and other Microsoft tools.
- Design and deploy application management strategies using Intune (Win32 apps, MSIX packages, and cloud-based apps).
- Implement and enforce device compliance and security policies through Intune.
- Develop and manage patch management strategies to keep systems updated and secure.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive backup strategy using Azure Backup, AvePoint, and other tools.
- Configure and monitor backups of Azure Disks, Microsoft 365 data, and other critical assets to meet business continuity requirements.
- Ensure recoverability of critical systems and data in the event of a disaster or failure.
Client & Service Desk Support
- Provide Tier 2 and advanced technical support for client systems and internal teams.
- Respond promptly to system alerts and incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
- Participate in the operation and improvement of service desk workflows, tools, and processes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including knowledge base articles and technical SOPs.
Security, Networking & Compliance
- Collaborate with the Security team to implement and maintain Azure security best practices: access control, network segmentation, threat detection, and encryption.
- Ensure seamless integration of cloud services with internal and external systems.
- Support compliance initiatives by aligning infrastructure with NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP Moderate requirements.
- Assist in preparing documentation for security audits and assessments.
- Proactively identify risks and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
- Work closely with Security Operations, Compliance, Development, and other internal stakeholders to resolve technical and process-related issues.
- Participate in cross-team efforts to integrate Azure solutions, security practices, and compliance policies.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional, responsive, and proactive communication.
ITIL & Process Improvement
- Apply ITIL-based service management practices to service desk and operational workflows.
- Help design, implement, and maintain IT service management processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across technical and support operations.

Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced experience managing Microsoft Azure environments
- Understanding of Azure services: virtual machines, networking, storage, and security
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in an IT Support or System Administrator Role
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104)
- Experience with Intune administration
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices
- Experience using ServiceNow for ticketing and support
