Our client is seeking a Cryptography Lead to drive enterprise-wide strategy, strengthen data protection, and partner with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure cryptographic controls are consistently implemented and compliant.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and operationalize the organization’s Cryptographic Governance Program.
- Assess monitoring results, identify vulnerabilities, and work with technical teams on remediation.
- Develop and maintain cryptographic policies and standards (encryption, key lifecycle management, certificates, etc.).
- Define KPIs and metrics to measure risk, maturity, and program effectiveness.
- Monitor regulatory updates and industry trends; share insights with stakeholders.
- Manage transitions for emerging and deprecated cryptographic algorithms.
- Maintain expertise in frameworks such as NIST 800‑53 and FIPS standards.
- Oversee and document governance workflows and processes.
- Build and promote an enterprise cryptographic strategy for on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to align solutions with standards.
- Provide guidance on hashing, keying, digital signatures, and related techniques.
- Define requirements for tools such as KMS platforms, HSMs, and certificate management systems.
- Support timely remediation and remove blockers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and security standards.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Cryptography, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in cryptographic governance or advanced cybersecurity roles.
- Deep knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols (AES, RSA, TLS, etc.).
- Strong experience with PKI, key lifecycle management, and enterprise encryption.
- Familiarity with security platforms such as Splunk, Varonis, and leading cryptography toolsets.
- Experience working in large, complex, or regulated organizations.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
