The opportunity
We are seeking a Risk & Project Management Consultant to join our Advisory team in the Americas. This is a client-embedded, execution-focused role supporting large, complex capital and modification programs.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong project management and risk management skillset who enjoys working close to delivery teams, facilitating structured decision-making, and managing risk during execution, not after the fact.
You will work directly with client project and program teams, acting as an extension of their organization rather than a traditional advisory overlay.
What you’ll do
Project & Risk Management Execution
- Support active projects with hands-on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning
- Develop, maintain, and manage project risk registers, action trackers, and escalation logs
- Monitor risks throughout execution and support timely mitigation during high-risk phases
- Actively prevent threats from materializing during projects, improving the project outcome, and raising awareness and maturity about risk management
Program-Level Coordination
- Help coordinate risk discussions across multiple projects within a program
- Support standardization of how risks are surfaced, escalated, and discussed
- Facilitate alignment between project teams, contractors, and program leadership
Embedded Client Support
- Operate in a partially embedded capacity within client offices
- Combine desk-based analysis with in-person facilitation and working sessions
- Travel to active project sites (e.g., shipyards or major execution locations) as required
Facilitation & Communication
- Prepare and facilitate structured risk reviews, workshops, and working sessions
- Capture decisions, actions, owners, and follow-ups clearly and consistently
- Communicate risk insights concisely to project and program leadership
