Role Summary
A client of ours is seeking a skilled Network Administrator who will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures across multiple locations. This individual will ensure high availability, security, and performance of network services that support day‑to‑day operations.
In this role, you will drive new network initiatives, optimize existing systems, and provide advanced troubleshooting to maintain a seamless user experience. You will also support critical upgrades, document architecture, and assist with deployments at remote sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new network solutions while enhancing the efficiency of existing environments.
- Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network hardware.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and access controls.
- Monitor network performance, identify issues proactively, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Plan and execute scheduled network upgrades and firmware updates.
- Investigate and resolve network faults to minimize downtime.
- Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and IP inventories.
- Travel to remote locations (10–25%) for installations, upgrades, and site relocations.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field and/or relevant technical certifications preferred.
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise networks, including LAN/WAN environments.
- Hands‑on experience with HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco Catalyst/Nexus platforms.
- Strong understanding of virtualization networking (VMware), storage networking (NFS/iSCSI/FibreChannel), and SD‑WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with NAC, cloud security platforms (Z‑Scaler), SIEM tools, and syslog‑based troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, SolarWinds) and ITIL‑based incident management (ServiceNow).
- Ability to rack/stack equipment, work in datacenter environments, and support fiber/copper infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
