What you'll do
As the Information Systems Security Officer, you’ll establish, implement, and maintain information security policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems.
You’ll Own:
- Working through Risk Management Framework (RMF) Steps 1-6 to obtain and maintain IATT/ATO decisions for cloud-based classified systems
- Developing security policies in accordance with CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53, and other federal regulations
- Conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments
- Preparing for and executing formal assessments with Government Security Control Assessors
- Developing and maintaining an Incident Response Plan
- Creating and maintaining System Security Plans within eMASS
- Investigating and adjudicating SIEM events
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
- Active SECRET clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
- Space Force experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in information security with Space AO and DCSA
- IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Sec+ or comparable), IAT Level III preferred (CISSP, CISM)
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards for RMF, CNSSI, and NIST
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM, IDS/IPS, STIG Hardening, vulnerability management solutions. Exposure to Kubernetes Containerization, AWS Secret Environment and Tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and Secure Network Architecture.
