Our client is seeking a visionary and operationally grounded Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead enterprise-wide technology strategy and execution during a pivotal phase of growth and transformation. This is a high-impact executive leadership role responsible for completing and stabilizing a multi-year technology transformation while modernizing infrastructure, advancing cybersecurity maturity, and expanding AI-driven innovation across approximately 400 distributed sites nationwide.
Location Requirement: Ideal candidate resides in MO or is willing to relocate.
The CIO will report to executive leadership and partner closely with the Board and Audit Committee. This leader will oversee the entire IT function, including the technology organization, the CISO, and the cybersecurity team.

You will:
- Lead enterprise-wide technology strategy aligned with multi-billion dollar growth objectives
- Complete and optimize a large-scale technology transformation across approximately 400 branches, yards, warehouses, and corporate office locations
- Modernize and stabilize the national network, including segmentation, resiliency, and performance standards
- Elevate cybersecurity maturity, including identity-first architecture, EDR, SOC visibility, incident readiness, and risk governance
- Accelerate enterprise data and analytics capabilities to improve productivity, operational performance, and strategic decision making
- Advance field technology capabilities, including mobility, rugged infrastructure, Wi Fi, devices, and location systems
- Expand AI and ML platforms and productivity tools to support modernization efforts
- Strengthen IT’s influence across the organization and build strategic partnerships with executive and operations leaders
- Develop and elevate IT leadership talent while reinforcing governance, operational discipline, and accountability
- Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operations supporting geographically distributed, business-critical environments
What You Bring
- 15 plus years of progressive technology leadership experience, including CIO or VP-level roles
- Proven success leading large-scale enterprise technology transformations across multi-site environments
- Experience in modernizing distributed networks spanning hundreds of operational locations
- Deep cybersecurity leadership experience, including identity-first security architecture, SOC maturity, and incident response
- Strong credibility supporting field-based, geographically distributed operations
- Experience deploying AI and ML platforms, enterprise productivity tools, and modern data ecosystems
- Executive presence with strong Board-level communication capability
- Demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and transforming high-performing IT organizations
