We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves managing and supporting IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining security standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting infrastructure to support business operations.
Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and support Azure environments for applications and infrastructure, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Utilize containerization technologies like Docker to develop and maintain application strategies.
• Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and implement performance tuning to improve efficiency and address critical alerts promptly.
• Manage system security by maintaining access controls, user accounts, antivirus protection, and patching processes.
• Oversee data backups and recovery plans, including testing and executing disaster recovery strategies.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize disruptions.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations and network diagrams.
• Collaborate with IT teams to introduce new technologies and provide advanced support to end-users.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, networking, or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Windows Desktop environments, and familiarity with MacOS or Linux systems.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IP protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and VoIP.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Expertise in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation purposes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Knowledge of tools and systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Office 365.
