We are partnering with a global lifestyle brand to identify a Chief Technology Officer to lead technology strategy and execution across the Americas. This position is based in New York City and will play a critical role in shaping how technology enables growth, scale, and operational excellence across a complex retail and consumer ecosystem.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on technology leader with experience operating in fast-paced, brand-driven environments and a proven ability to lead transformation at scale.
Role Overview
This executive will own the end-to-end technology vision for the US, ensuring platforms, systems, and teams are aligned to business priorities while maintaining strong integration with global technology partners. The role requires a balance of long-term strategy, operational rigor, and strong people leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as the senior technology partner to regional executive leadership, advising on how technology can accelerate business outcomes.
- Define and evolve a multi-year technology roadmap that supports growth, modernization, and operational resilience.
- Identify emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to retail and consumer businesses, translating them into practical initiatives.
- Ensure architectural decisions prioritize scalability, security, and simplicity while reducing redundancy and technical debt.
- Champion a shared-services mindset with a strong focus on service quality, user experience, and continuous improvement.
Organization, Operating Model & Talent
- Lead a geographically distributed technology organization across core domains including applications, data, infrastructure, security, and enterprise systems.
- Build strong alignment between regional teams and global technology counterparts, balancing standardization with local market needs.
- Foster a collaborative culture between technology and business teams, grounded in accountability and partnership.
- Drive organizational change initiatives, including agile ways of working, product-oriented delivery models, and cloud adoption.
- Oversee talent strategy including hiring, development, succession planning, and leadership growth.
Delivery, Operations & Risk Management
- Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of technology initiatives, with disciplined oversight of budgets, timelines, and outcomes.
- Maintain reliable, secure, and resilient platforms that support day-to-day operations and long-term growth.
- Embed cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance into all technology decisions and delivery processes.
- Lead vendor and partner relationships to ensure value, performance, and scalability.
- Use business and stakeholder feedback to continuously refine systems, tools, and services.
Experience & Qualifications
- 18+ years of progressive technology leadership experience in complex, global organizations.
- Background in retail, consumer, or high-growth B2C environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional technology teams across multiple domains.
- Deep understanding of modern enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and cybersecurity.
- Experience delivering large-scale digital platforms from concept through maturity.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, align, and inspire senior stakeholders.
- Proven decision-maker who balances speed, rigor, and long-term impact.
Salary: $280K - $290K + bonus
