Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to support enterprise Microsoft infrastructure across on-premise, virtual, and cloud environments. This role acts as a Tier III escalation point for complex technical issues and requires deep expertise in Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online.
The ideal candidate brings a strong security first mindset, advanced troubleshooting ability, and experience managing large-scale Microsoft environments.
Role Overview
- Administer and support Microsoft server infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365
- Monitor system availability, performance, and compliance
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting tools
- Support endpoints and mobile device environments
- Ensure infrastructure security and reliability
- Act as Tier III escalation for advanced system issues
Required Experience
- 5+ years managing Microsoft server environments (Windows Server 2016/2019, Hyper-V)
- 3+ years administering AD, Azure AD, and Office 365
- 2+ years scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
- 1+ year working with Microsoft cloud security (Azure / Intune)
- Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure support skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with Texas State Agencies
- Endpoint management using SCCM or Intune
- SQL Server migrations and performance tuning
- SAN / enterprise storage solutions
