Job Description
This role is responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and securing enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet network environments to ensure high availability and performance. The position maintains network and security infrastructure, implements security policies and patches, and proactively addresses system and security issues. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Microsoft and networking technologies, security platforms, and automation tools, along with relevant certifications and a solid IT foundation.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), WI-FI, and Internet system or a segment of a network system. Analyze workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
- Maintain network and security hardware and software.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
- Maintain network security policy, addressed security issues and applied appropriate security patches.
- Skill sets include Microsoft, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto NGFW, Unix, Linux, MVS or VS, VMWare and extensive network certifications.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools like PowerShell and Jenkins preferred.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or diploma in Information systems or information technology, Microsoft MCSE certification, experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
- Familiarity with SQL and database operations.
